Mix carefully and apply in small batches

Definitely fast setting so you should read and follow the instructions and use only in small batches. Dries to a light grey colour. Used it to patch cracks in my concrete pool deck area. Durability will not be known for sure until next spring. Didn’t realize this is a powder product that you mix yourself with water. Probably easier to use premixed products especially for small areas. Relatively expensive for what you get.

I found it easy to mix, and to use. It did take a lot (4) containers to fill spaces on my flagstone walkway.

Q: Can u use this product to repair a concrete birdbath?

    1 Answer
    • A: Hi, Great question! We recommend applying our Zinsser WaterTire Hydraulic Cement only on the outside of the concrete birdbath. It is not recommended for the inside of the bowl of the birdbath as it will not hold up when constantly submerged under water.

Q: Can this be used in a spot between my foundation wall and the concrete slad where water comes in due to hydrostatic pressure from time to time?

    1 Answer
    • A: Hi, Great question! Yes, our WaterTite Hydraulic Cement can be used on the spot between your foundation wall and the concrete slab where water comes in. It was designed to stop water flow and permanently seal deep cracks and holes in all grades of concrete. It plugs, seals and creates a “watertight” seal in 5 minutes, even while water is flowing. We hope this helps!

Q: Is there a minimum temperature that this may be applied to an exterior foundation wall?

    1 Answer
    • A: As per the TDS: PRODUCT APPLICATION (cont.) APPLICATION (cont.) Apply only when air, material, and surface temperatures are between 50-90ºF (10-32ºC) and the relative humidity is or less than 85%. Liberally apply the first coat using a thick polyester bristle brush, or by rolling a small section (3x3 foot) and then using a brush to work the coating into the pores of the masonry. Apply as much paint as necessary to produce a continuous, pinhole free film. Use a 1” nap roller cover for unpainted, porous surfaces or a ¾” nap roller cover for smooth or previously painted surfaces. The second coat can be brushed or rolled

Q: will this damage bricks if used to fill cracks between bricks on my house wall?

    1 Answer
    • A: While the Watertite Sealant is not likely to damage brick, it is not designed to take the place of mortar. Mortar, or concrete might be better choices for this particular repair.
