Good bang for the buck

I bought this on sale & am very pleased. Good bang for the buck. It works perfectly & was easy to install. It took 2 of us about 15-20 minutes from opening the packaging to final testing. Not the best resolution (it is after all not a dslr), but the distance bars are extremely helpful. A great addition to mirrors. I use this on a daily basis and am very happy with this purchase.

j'en ai acheté une en mais 2015 , véhicule toujours dehors et ça fonctionne très bien , je m'en suis procuré une autre dernièrement à voir , jusqu,à présent pas de problème...

Attention si vous avez un camion avec boite longue

Installé sur mon camion avec boîte de 8 pieds, ne fonctionne pas du tout. La distance entre la caméra et l'écran est trop grand, je n'ai pas de signal. Avec l'écran sur le siège arrière, il fonctionne bien mais pas très pratique.

As others have mentioned the camera doesn't do well with Canadian climates. Worked well for a couple of months, died as soon as the cold hit.
Save your money.

A: I have used this product all winter and have had no problems at all. Once and a while, I wipe off the lens (salt & road spray) & have had no issues even in temps colder than -10.

Q: The camera indicates it is wireless. So, there is no wiring in the installation required whatsoever?

A: Just like a wireless router in your home, the backup camera still needs to receive power - preferably from the reverse tail light. The camera then can send the image to the monitor via a wireless signal. The monitor also has to be powered using the 12V adapter provided. There are no cables or wires that need to be run from the camera to the monitor.

Q: My car has a built-in monitor. Can I just install the camera and connect it wirelessly to my built-in monitor?

A: Unfortunately not all built-in systems have open access and allow another products image. Also our wireless signal is set to communicate directly with our monitor. One tip is that you do not have to mount the monitor on your dash - we have several mount options which include vent or regular suction cup so you could mount the monitor down low to not clutter your dash.

Q: Can I connect the cable of the camera directly to the 12V battery supply instead of the tail light and how many mA of current will it draw alone

A: The camera can be connected to a constant power source and will draw 250mA of current. We do warn that if the camera when used as a backup camera is only meant to show the image when you are in reverse. If connected to a constant power source the image will always appear in the monitor. Please check your local laws and regulations, and thank you for backing up safely.

A: We suggest mounting it similar to the attached image. Center of the windshield and close to the dash. That way you can run the power cable down through the dash to hardwire or plug into the 12V socket.

Q: Can this be mounted to a truck license plate or is the tail gate going to interfere with it when it is let down?

A: Yes it can. The tail gait will not interfere with the signal, but it may interfere with the picture if it is obstructing the lens at all.
