    It's worked well for me.

Have had the single mattress about 3 years now. I find the windcatcher feature works fine. Just have to do it properly. Make sure the inner liner is pushed all the way in and try to hold the fill area as open as possible. Don't stick your face in the opening. Just blow directly at the opening and it creates a venturi effect that draws extra air in. Long slower breaths work best I think. I find it takes me about 10 or less breaths to get it about 2/3 inflated. Once there, you seal the opening by rolling it up and securing with straps. I think this is where the deflating issues occur as I also noticed this once or twice. Take your time and try to make sure it rolls up tight and smooth. When I did this it stopped leaking. From 2/3 full use the valve on the corner to finish inflating. Make sure this is good and tight also but don't over tighten. Usually takes less than a few minutes, I suppose the double would be twice that time. I agree, that about 80% full is probably most comfortable. I like the material, seems very durable, but perhaps a little slippery with some nylon bags. The round chambers are a bit uncomfortable but again, don't over inflate and it is less of a problem. This mattress also has no insulation value, so don't expect it to keep you warm. Put ground cover under it and a blanket on top to add some insulation if it is cold. It's quite easy to deflate and packs up nicely into a small bag. All in all, a very solid product IMO. I would give it 4.5 stars if I could.

    Yes, I recommend this product.

    Ease and Comfort

Bought it on sale. Easy to inflate and deflate. Slept much better on it than on a regular air bed/mattress. Used it several times camping even when sleeping over and still works like it's new. I just wish it's a little wider.

    Yes, I recommend this product.

    Great Mattress

I love this mattress, it inflates quickly without a pump, deflates just as fast for packing and rolls up small and tight. it took a bit to get it comfortable, we found that its best to only inflate to about 80%. I was disappointed that they discontinued this product.

    Yes, I recommend this product.

    Know what to expect

No, it's not amazing. But if space and weight is your concern, this mat is great for the price. I got 2 and I love them. INFLATION: It takes me 10 deep breaths to inflate it and an additional 2 from the small valve to get it full. That is not what the video shows but so what, that's still amazing. Still better than carrying a pump and takes less time and effort to inflate. SIZE: I'm 6.1, length is great. Width for one person is great but for 2 a little tight. But again, if you're hiking a lot it will save space and weight. QUALITY: Very well done, seems durable so far, no issues. This is a 4" mat, of course it's not as comfortable as an 8" mat. Don't expect a miracle product. It is GREAT for what it's supposed to do. I totally recommend it for this price.

    Yes, I recommend this product.

    Not comfortable for side sleeping

I bought this product as a spur-of-the-moment investment because it was on sale. I can see why. There are two reasons this product receives a poor review: 1. The Windcatcher inflation system does not work as intended. I ended up blowing this thing up the old fashioned way (mouth-to-valve) and that worked better. It takes 20-30 breaths to inflate due to its double size. 2. I am a side sleeper. The vertical tubes are AWFUL for side sleeping. I woke up half way through the night and my arm had gone numb from the way the air pressed into my arm. It was cold out so my arm was also frozen cold. I think it would be more comfortable if you sleep on your back but even lying like that I didn't like the way the tubes pressed into my back. I really wanted to like this product as it is made from fantastic material and is quite reasonably sized when inflated/deflated alas it was not at all comfortable and in the end I returned it.

No, I do not recommend this product.
