Q: Can Winter Proof be used to winterize a Gas Boat engine?
4 years agoA: Absolutely not. You need to drain the water from the engine and fog the cylinders. Take your engine to a boat dealer to get it winterized

Q: Can this antifreeze be mixed into your pool water in the spring?
4 years agoA: Assuming that the amount of (full strength) antifreeze you are speaking of is just what is needed to protect the pool's pump, piping, etc. through the winter, it is a relatively small amount and should not cause any problems if it were to be pumped out and mixed in the full volume of pool water in the spring. It is also non-toxic.

Q: Is this antifeeze: 1) ETHANOL (alcohol) BASED; 2) PROPYLENE/ETHANOL BLEND; 3) PROPYLENE GLYCOL?

Q: Why is "Winter Proof" water system anti-freeze safe for all systems but Certified is only safe for plastic pipes? Both claim to be good to -50ºC. What is the difference?
5 years agoA: The WinterProof antifreeze has a rust inhibitor added that makes it safe for use inmetal pipes, the Certified antifreeze does not have rust inhibitors and is only recommended for use in plastic pipes.
