Q: does this product provide a permanent repair??
16 years agoA: I've been working in auto shops for the past 10 years and we do not consider these "rope plugs" to be permanent repairs for tires intended for highway use and we generally replace them whenever we remove a tire from the rim and reinstall it. A permanent repair consists of a combination plug and patch or separate plug then a patch over it. That being said, these rope plug repairs can and do outlast the life of the tire when done properly.
