Can plugged up immediately. Garbage. Returned for refund. I keep all paint receipts now for return as they all plug up and Canadian Tire wants $30 plus for them now!

Questions

1 - 8 of 8 Questions

Q: Can I spray the VHT FlameProof Coating (Flat Aluminum) to restore the factory muffler tips of my 2000 Boxster S exhaust?

2 Answers
  • A: I have painted many manifolds and exhaust piping. But never a exhaust tip. It depends on the material. And finish. If it’s shiny and smooth you might want to consider sanding it first and maybe use the vht primer. Hope this helps.

Q: what does this description of ur product mean:"Heat resistant up to 900°F (482°C)"? thanks, :o)))

1 Answer
  • A: I purchased this product to refinish the heat shield that covers the exhaust manifold on my snow mobile engine. It does get very hot but it is holding up well. Follow the instruction/painting procedures as instructed on the product.

Q: Can this paint be used on the outside of a wood burning stove?

1 Answer
  • A: Flameproof should be fine in this type of application but it is essential that the product is still baked onto the surface by gradually increasing the temperature.

  • A: We do recommend using primer under the flameproof paint which is offered in the flameproof system

Q: Can I apply the flameproof spray and then apply regular paint over it? Looking to do a custom colour on my brakes.

1 Answer
  • A: You should only apply high temperature resistant paints on parts that will get hot. You could use Engine Enamel or Caliper Paint over the Flameproof paint, but you should not use a standard paint that doesn’t resist high temperatures.

Q: Hi I would like to ask can the paint apply on plastic.

1 Answer
  • A: The VHT Flameproof requires 343 deg C to fully cure. This would not be an appropriate product for plastics.

Q: Is it safe to cook food over this paint? I was wondering about using it on an campstove. It will come in contact with flames.

1 Answer
  • A: The VHT flameproof can not come in contact with open flame, as the coating would burn. Not a good product to cook food over top
