A: They will not die in the container. Probably not even around it. They will die though. The advice is to continue providing/buying bait for them to eat until you notice that the bait is no longer touched. You have no idea from the start how big your rat population might be. My information is from a professional rat control business. They were called in to deal with my neighbour's problem. The company put stations by my home, that the rats never touched. Yet, my neighbour's property had so many rats that the company had to come and refill the containers once a week for over three months. I oversaw it all, as I let and followed the employees in the neighbour's house as they checked the boxes and refilled. We never saw a single dead rat, as rats will/can eat the dead ones, passing the poison on to the eater. I am here because I have moved and one of my cat's gave a gift of a lovely rat onto my doorstep. So, I will buy one disposable rat bait station here at Canadian Tire, and monitor how fast it is eaten. Perhaps I will only need one. Hopefully it won't need to become my new hobby. Fully instant-acting poison is not safe around pets and children. This is a slower acting poison, so the rat won't even know there is something wrong and will go on about their business until they die. Which they will soon, just not instantaneously like they would with a suicide pill in an James Bond film. (In the preview screen for this answer it shows no paragraphs, I wrote this answer with four paragraphs, so sorry that you are reading it in a big clump.)

A: The Tomcat Rat Killer Disposable Bait Station is not refillable. This is a disposable station that is designed to be used once with the bait that is pre-loaded. Once empty, it should be discarded.

Q: If rat eat this bait and if the same rat eat any food or paper or touch any of our utensils, do we have problem with that utensil or food if we use it?
