2 1/2 years later the motor dies

Didn't want central vac in the new home, decided try out this new way of vacuuming. $500 tax in. A chat with their customer service live chat, they opened a file to be reviewed a week ago. Looks like all im getting is a discount for another. Not happy at all especially with the care we took of it, cleaning filters with shop-vac every 3rd use. Probably used this unit once a week at most, no pets 80% hardwood. Very disappointed knowing at they end of 3yrs i will have given Tineco close to $1,000 and still have only one vacuum if i use their upgrade rebate. I wish its worth the money, but almost 40% of the reviews are not 5 star now.

Don’t buy

I have had this vacuum for a couple of years now. Do not buy it unless you have only flooring and not an ounce of carpet. Also, don’t buy it if you walk outside in winter and MIGHT bring in gravel. I vacuum at least three times a week with two pets and two kids. It does not take hair off of carpet well or furniture. Trying to vacuum in winter with gravel, it picks it up in the power head (sometimes) and then shoots it on the floor. Or it will not pick up the mini rocks and when you go over it, it will grind it into the floor and scratch it. This is honestly such a bad vacuum, I would not recommend it. The only reason I gave it 2 stars is because it does an okay job picking up hair on vinyl plank. That’s the only pro. It has two batteries which is convenient. It normally takes me both batteries to vacuum the whole house (3700 square feet). In the end, I would not recommend.

This was going to replace my Dyson. Sadly it’s by no means the same vacuum. Absolutely no power. Barely picks up little pieces of debris

A: No. Battery requires the dock to charge. Of note...you do get two batteries...to have one on charge while your using the other. Doesn't help if you take the device away from premises with dock/charger.
