Avoid this model in my opinion.

We have had this stove installed for a few weeks now, purchased as a secondary heat source. I am not impressed with it at all. It constantly fails to self ignite unless you put a handful of pellets in the hopper first. On the low setting 1 bag of pellets produces excessive amounts of ash/soot, enough that you cannot refill the hopper and reignite the stove without vacuuming the burn pot right out.
No, I do not recommend this product.

Major issues , vacuum switch was a dud first go, the automatic igniter quit after first four bags, the fan that blows the heat to the room is loud and irratating and only gets worse, Timber Ridge 1-800 crew are good they are sending all new parts but this shouldnt all screw up after 4 bags of pellets...Hope it gets better.

Bought this stove yesterday, hooked it all.up, turned it on and got a e-2 fail to start code for the 1st 4 attempts.. finally got it going and it wasn't putting out nearly as much heat as it should on highest settling so I turned off, unplugged it to reset, plugged it back in and it wouldn't turn on at all. Apparently I need a new control panel. Not impressed!
No, I do not recommend this product.

A: THE REAL DIMENSIONS OF THE STOVE ARE 23'' WIDE 28 3/4'' HIGH 24 1/2'' DEEP WEIGHT : 291 LBS INFO FOR STOVE : http://www.heatredefined.com/timberridge/stove/timber-ridge-1500-sq.-ft.-pellet-stove WE BOUGHT THIS STOVE WITH THE INFO ON THE CANADIAN TIRE SITE CAUSE IT WAS SUPPOSE TO FIT IN OUR STOVE HOLE. WE GOT IT DELIVERED AND IT DOES NOT FIT. THIS SITE PROVIDED THE WRONG INFORMATION AND NOW WE HAVE TO RETURN THE STOVE OURSELVES.VERY BIG WASTE OF TIME !

Q: How many bags of pellets will I need to run this stove continuously over the court of a normal southern Ontario winter?

A: I would say approximately 150 40 pound bags. Might be a little more because your winters are colder than ours in Nelson B.C. The other factor to consider is the size of your space and how well insulated it is. We don’t run ours all day and it stays warm.

A: S'assurer que l'orifice de l'allumeur soit bien degagé. Cela semble un problème avec ce poêle car l'allumage ne fonctionne pas bien sur le mien également. Je dois le surveiller car il prend parfois tellement de temps à s'allumer qu'il y a beaucop de granule qui s'accumule sur la plaque.

Q: Can this stove be connected to an already in place seven inch high temperature chimney?

A: All this stove needs is a vent like a dryer. Buy the kit to go out the wall. Using a larger chimney can create a suction in the stove and pull in to much air.

A: you need to check the amps of your blower motor and don't forget that this stove has sensors that will shut it down in the event of a power outage. I have used a power eliminator box from Canadian tire (1200watt wheeled one, can't buy them anymore).You need to convert 12volt to 110 to run the blower.

A: it needs to be plugged into a regular wall outlet. HOWEVER.. please find another pellet stove to purchase.. this one is absolute junk.. if I could return it and get my money back.. I would.. barely a one bag hopper.. have to shut it down to clean it.. EVERY DAY.. noisy on startup and shut down.. takes up to 2 hours to shut down.. and constantly turns itself off.. have to check pellet level regularly.. shuts down with as much as 1/3 bag in the hopper.. because of the angle of the walls.. research a better stove..
