We do have winter battery protection settings for our cameras which can help in regards to any battery concerns, otherwise we recommend checking regularly that the camera is not malfunctioning at all due to the cold, and periodically warming the camera up by bringing it inside.

Q: you · a few seconds ago What's the video quality like for the front and back cameras? Can you easily make out the license plates of cars in front and behind you during the day and night ? Is there any glare from brake lights, especially at night?
4 years agoA: The Front Cam records at Full HD 1080p, while the Rear Cam records at 720p. Both Front and Rear offer the Super Night Vision, which will automatically adjust the brightness and contrast, making license plate and signs reading more smooth.

5 years agoA: Hello Darce, Unfortunately Thinkware Rear Cameras cannot be used as a back-up cam, as these contain a wide-angle lens which lacks the proper depth perception for backing up.

Q: does f200 dash cam have to be hard wire to work
5 years agoA: The dash cam does not need to be hardwired in order to work. A cigarette lighter power cable comes included with the device to power the dash cam. However, if the user wishes to unlock the Parking Surveillance mode, the dash cam needs to be hardwired using a Thinkware hardwiring cable. Professional installation is recommended.
