A: No it is a bit wider. However I believe the width they give is the overall width outside edge to outside edge.

Q: Does the bottom of the tube have the hardware in it to do hookup to the plumbing or do you need to buy it separately. What's in the bottom of tub to do easy direct hookup to piping. Thank you Hope I explained it well enough..

A: Bottom of tub includes a plastic gasket to attach drain pipe. No drain pipe is provided.
