T-fal 1800W UltraGlide Plus Calc-Collector Steam Iron

So far this iron seems to be doing the job. It is really streamlined which I like and has new options on it that previous ones did not have. I like that you can use tap water and not special water from the store.

Heat is wrong — scorches even on “Delicate”

The iron works well, for basic use, but the included instructions are extremely difficult to decipher. The instructions are entirely in pictures, with nothing labelled or explained. There are three icons for settings for steam, on, off and ??? The ON function won't stay put, and it is unclear what other action needs to be taken before the button will stay at ON. However the mystery function seems to also work as an ON button. There is some sort of dipstick within the iron that is completely unexplained, but is supposed to be pulled out and soaked once a month. I have not been able to find the dipstick yet. It looks like it is supposed to be below the steam buttons, but that part does not pull out. Possibly the dipstick is only available on some models, but that is not explained. The calcium collector is at least labelled on the iron itself. Pulling it out is shown in the instructions, but without the labelling on the iron, that activity would also be a mystery. The iron itself works fine so far, but I really wish some written instructions were available.

Utilisation facile. Travail impeccable.

It's too soon to tell if the iron performs well; however first impressions are that it is large and awkward to handle. Disappointed T-fal doesn't appear to offer a warranty - this product only has a 1-year warranty through Canadian Tire.
