Q: Could this be used on a cover-less saltwater boat to store lifevests and flashlight? Is there a locking mechanism, padlock?

A: The SS601ST is not lockable . The panels are not insulated and are not airtight. Consider that moisture and air will seep in through these fitted, assembled panels when deciding where to locate the shed and what to store in it.
