Reduced quality compared to previous unit.

This is my second unit, the first was a foot higher, shrinkflation I guess. Anyway the fabric doesn't seem as "thick" as the one it replaces which lasted for about 5 years before the fabric finally tore and rust permeated some of the pipe. In fairness it's labeled as a temporary enclosure so maybe I shouldn't be too critical. One other flaw with the new one is the rachets aren't as good as with the old one. When the strain comes on the rachet as you operate it to tighten the straps you can hear the click but when you retract the leaver the cog slips so you can't tighten them further. I saved some of the old rachets from the previous unit and used those in place of the ones that were slipping.

Because of my disability, I took itbbe a good idea to get it delivered. The service and the people were great, couldn't ask for better but it took so long to get it,. from the warehouse to the truck and delivery, that's just too long

Q: Is it recommended to remove the tarp in the summer months ? Will the heat from the sun do damage to the tarp ?

A: Not sure, we use it throughout the winter as a storage shed but see neighbours with it storing their vehicles through the summer. They still look good after 3 years.
