A: No side opening. And I woukd have enjoyed the design however I did nit have the clearance to my soffit & fascia so I was nit able to install it. Aside from that - it is a good item

Q: what keeps the door closed, am I seeing a zipper or is there a latch? ive seen ones were you have to tie 5 knots

A: It's a D ring over a hook. In high winds we use bungee cords and attach to wherever we can on the frame.

Q: Is there a way to anchor it to keep it from blowing away? Why is it called a "car shelter"? Is it for use on a house door or is it only for a portable car shelter tent?
