Durable finish

We used this last year on our stamped concrete patio and it provided great protection. We reapplied it again this year. It has a low odour and is easy to apply with a pole brush on stamped concrete. Looks milky when it goes on, but dries clear. Despite being labelled as "satin," it does look a bit shiny. Water cleanup is a bonus.

A: It is thin, but I have not seen any imperfection on my whole horizontal surface (which was huge). I would give it a try.

Q: Does the concrete require a pretreatment of some kind. The concrete is new 30 days old.

A: ours was 30 yrs old- just power washed it to clean it, been 2 yrs done, looks like new!! very pleased with product. yours being NEW might need curing longer?? usually new concrete, they recommend 3 mths to cure. hope this helps.

A: Certainly no chemical reaction. It does give the sand a similar sheen to the pavers and seems to bind the surface as well.

Q: Can I use this product to seal "painted rocks" that have been painted with craft acrylic paint? I want to set my rocks outside in my garden. Will this product keep them from fading from sunlight exposure?

A: Hi I used this product to seal my indoor cement floor. I'm afraid I didn't use it in an outdoor environment. However, I'm an avid crafter who does paint rocks with acrylic paints and I would definitely give it a try but repeat yearly.

Q: Can this product be used on steps of stamped concrete ? will it make them more slippery ?

A: I really can't answer the questions. We've used the product on our drive, which has an uneven surface. Grip was good, but steps, I dunno. Sorry. Try contacting the manufacturer, and ask if you can add grit (a course product mixed in paint et provide traction), or what they suggest. It is a good product.

A: Hi Patmontane, Our Sealkrete Clear-Seal Concrete Protective Sealer contains additives at low levels that could be described as 'polysiloxanes'. Most water-based coatings contain these additives that help in flow/levelling.

Q: will this seal a thin concrete basement floor that water comes up through when the ground is saturated?

A: Hi, Great question! If water is coming up from the ground, then we do not recommend our Seal-Krete Concrete Protective Sealer. The product we recommend is our RockSolid Moisture Stop. It penetrates deep into the concrete unlike paints and surface sealers. The deep penetration fills the pores of the concrete and chemically reacts with the minerals forming a silicate mineral. It also prevents damage from salt, radon gas and moisture while retaining the look of natural concrete.
