Sans-Zo Protection Sealant

Je suis un "maniaque" de l'entretient auto et esthétique. J'ai utilisé presque toutes les marques dans ma vie depuis 50 ans. J'ai essayé le scellant sans zo pour la première fois sur la voiture de ma femme noire. Étonnant ! Facilité d'utilisation et les résultats sont bluffants sur de la peinture noire auto. Le noir est plus intense de beaucoup et extrêmement luisant. Bonne résistance. Je recommande !

I’ve been using this protection sealant for about 18 months or so, on my 2002 VW (which is a daily driver, and has 371K on it). Previously I used Crystal-Glo, which I was (and still am) extremely happy with, although it was pricey given the age of my car, and was a bit difficult to work with. Hence my comments are relative to that product. (I have used other products as well, but Crystal-Glo gave me an excellent performance to price ratio). I basically didn’t find any reviews of this product on-line prior to purchasing it (which I got on sale), but after some use, thought it to write about it here. My normal application is to put paint protection on twice yearly: once in the spring, and once in the fall. For Sans-Zo, I put on two coats at a time. Each application seems to last a solid 6 months (even while parked outdoors). And although it does wear down after that time, water still beads pretty well. I found that it’s best to use some kind of quick-detailer following each time you wash the car between the ‘big applications’ – seems to make it last longer (and the car looks better) – this held true for other waxes & sealants I’ve used. As suggested above, the durability (with 2 coats) is very good. Of course, ‘high wear’ areas will disappear faster (i.e. front bumper, leading edge of hood & fenders, side mirrors, door & hatch handles, etc.). The quality of the finish is good (i.e. shiny), although it does not have the depth / richness of my previous product, and also is a bit weaker in terms of filling in micro-scratches. The depth / richness of the finish seems to be better with multiple coats. Given this, my car still looks way better than many younger vehicles that are not waxed at all. It’s quite easy to apply and polish by hand, better than my previous stuff. Just be cautious about applying it in hot weather, and most definitely out of the sun. You may have a harder time wiping it off / polishing it to perfection on dark colours, so an electric polisher may be useful. I do recommend that prior to application, the paint be ‘cleansed’ deeply with some kind of pre-wax cleaner (i.e. clay bar system, pre-wax cleaner, paint prep cleanser, etc.) – helps the sealant adhere better, and provides a better finish. Intermediary polishing (i.e. after pre-wax cleaning and before applying the paint sealant) is likely not necessary if your paint is already in good (or better) condition. The attached photo shows the car (this month) a few days after I put 1 coat of Sans-Zo on it. Before that, I had put 2 coats on about 10 months earlier. Overall, a very ‘balanced’ product – in terms of price, durability, finish and ease of use.
