Great product, good on smooth surface, not as good on ruff ..

Price a little high, but a good result
Only recommended on smooth surface, do no use on ruff surface like un-coated concrete.
Better then other product like behr's (uses behrs last yr, do not long last)...

Get what you pay for, it's expensive but does a great job, re-sealed stamped concrete around pool and patio, easy to apply, dries to a nice glossy sheen and it's hydrophobic so water sits on top of it and runs off nicely. As with most things, preparation is important, pressure wash and let dry completely, also better to apply in cooler temperatures.

Q: can this be used on concrete around a pool? will it be slippery when wet?

A: Hi Tom42, Yes, Rust-Oleum RockSolid Wet Look Sealer can be used on pool decks. For skid-resistance, we recommend using with an anti-skid additive, since this product does leave a glossy film on the surface.

Q: Is this product suitable for a high traffic area. ie. will it show wear or the finish dull? If it does, can it be recoated easily over the existing coat without any buildup issues or labour intensive removal? The durability is a concern.

A: Hi Boomer, Our Rocksolid Concrete Wet Look Sealer is suitable for high traffic areas. Surfaces previously sealed with RockSoild Concrete & Masonry Wet Look High Gloss may be sealed again with this product. When reapplying, clean the entire surface, including any oil or grease spots with Rustoleum Heavy Duty Cleaner (sold separately). Scrub with a stiff bristle brush or broom. Rinse thoroughly with fresh water. A power washer is preferred. Repeat as necessary to completely clean and rinse. Allow to dry completely before sealing. Hazing may occur if sealer is applied to a damp surface.

Q: Hi, could this product be used on a concrete hearth in front of a wood burning fireplace? Hot embers may fall on it and it would be subject to infrared heating through the glass doors.

A: The Wet Look concrete sealer is not a high-heat product, but will be able to withstand up to 140 degrees Fahrenheit of heat. Contact with flames or sparks may damage the product.
