Product Details

Riepert Salt Solar Plus Water Softener Crystals are naturally evaporated by the sun and wind. Riepert crystals soften hard water through ion exchange to eliminate limescale buildup in pipes and appliances. Solar evaporated crystals are more soluble, providing more effective softening to ensure that the crystals themselves never gum up the pipes once the limescale is dealt with.

Very pleased with this product. Of note - both stores in Peterborough were out of stock so it was necessary to drive to Lindsay to obtain required bags. Now, more than one week later, both Peterborough stores are still out of stock. Disappointing.

With a grain of Salt

At $8.49 cents a bag, it’s not worth the price! Small tiny pebbles, that after putting two of these bags in my softener, within 10 days, both were completely gone. The salt is also imported from the US. Not sure why Canadian Tire is not supporting Canadian products, although the company for this salt is based out of Waterloo. Sadly, there’s very little selection of other salts to purchase there.
