I wish I had seen reviews before buying

I saw this on sale, and it offered so many features. But, there wasn't any reviews on the net yet (new product). 1. The unit is supposed to have lifetime traffic, but the only way this unit gets traffic is through wifi. So, you would have to have your phone on as a hotspot, and then click to update traffic. You would need a co-pilot. So, if you were thinking this can tell you when there is bad traffic and divert you to a better route....it isn't that kind of GPS unit. (all other brands can do that for you) 2. The dash cam is constantly trying to focus, and then stays focused on the dashboard. So, you end up recording a blur all day. Hey Rand McNally, a dashcam is for recording traffic (distance), you never need to focus any closer. 3. If you email Rand McNally, they never reply. 4. If you call them, they have generic answers, and really don't know much about this model. 5. I returned 3 of these, and finally ended up with a gift card in exchange. One of mine had the map go blank during a trip across BC, so there's not much I can say to promote this thing. This is the worst GPS unit I have ever owned.

No, I do not recommend this product.

Q: DOES THE GPS OFFER RV PACKAGE?

    1 Answer
    • A: This unit (Road Explorer 70) does not have GPS for RV’s , just for the car. We do have two separate models that are specifically for RV’s. The RV Tablet (8” Android tablet at $499.99 US) and the RVND7735 (7” RV GPS at $399.99 US).
