To add to the other issues around this lock....

To add to the one star comments, the lock is supposed to clickinto its holder and get released by press of red button. The holder on the one I purchased didn't click in. With a block the lock shakes free and falls to the ground. Really dangerous. Shoddy manufacturing. Its a quality contril issue - should have been spotted b4 it was shipped to a store. Now i have to waste my time and make my way back to a Canadian Tire, stand in line . Shame on Raleigh for charging $54 for this and not producing a $54 product.

Hard to unlock!

The lock is SO hard to open after a few months of use. And you have to always make sure the "u" is pressed in before you attempt to push the lever with your thumb to unlock. Otherwise, it won't unlock. When you have to lock up tightly to something, it's even harder to unlock. I would not buy this bike again.

No, I do not recommend this product.

Did not work for me. I followed the instructions. Put a new code in and locked. Could not unlock using the new code :( Going back to keys.

Q: How is the mounting bracket supposed to be removed from the lock? When I press in the button it only moves a quarter inch and then stops.

Q: Whay does my bike lock not lock? I bought a very expensive ebike and set a combination the unlock just falls off This just does not work I will return it tomorrow if I still have an ebike Ii have to keep it inside. I bought a lock for a reason.

Q: I see this U or D bike lock is "steel". Is it "HARDENED" steel?!? And can you confirm the thickness of the U or D lock steel that would be cut to be stolen from so I can compare to recommendations to avoid bike theft. Thank you.
