combination changes

the combination on this lock changes randomly. one day it's 4567 the next day it might be 4587 or 5576. I was stuck flipping through possibilities and just gave up, luckily it wasn't on my bike yet

Bike Lock

I bought this bike lock about a week ago and it worked ok for the first 5-6 uses but I got to school and the lock wouldn’t click in to lock up my bike and it wasn’t feeding to teeth all the way through. DONT waste your money on Canadian tire bike locks. Go buy them somewhere else and save yourself a headache.

Q: How to set your 4 digit personal combination

A: 1. Open the lock using the preset combination 0000 by lining up 0000 with the guide points on both sides of lock head. 2. Pull the cable out from the lock housing and make sure the open end is facing you. 3. Turn the outer metal ring clockwise until it stops. 4. Set the dials to the four-number code that you desire. Dials have an extra click in between numbers. To change a number, twist the dial two clicks to move to the next or previous number. 5. Rotate the ring counter-clockwise until it stops. Take care to not move any of the dials while you are moving the ring. 6. Insert the cable back into the lock housing. 7. Turn the dials to scramble the numbers in order to secure the lock.
