Q: Hi team, I would like to repair my interlock made of slate and concrete. Some slates are peeled off. I tried to use adhesive, however, it doesn't work as the surface is not flat. May I ask whether I can put this concreate below the slate to immobolize it?

A: Thank you both for your reply. I think a thin-set mortar would be helpful, as my application is very thin. RedDeb, sorry for the confusion, as I don't know the exact term and I can't attach a photo here. My interlock is like (irregular-shape) stone on the concrete. Some stones are off from the concrete beneath them. So I would like to 'bond' them to the concrete. I tried adhesive but it is not good because the stone is not exactly flat (there's always a gap at one corner). Let me know if this makes sense to you.

Q: I want to fill in a small amount under a metal fence post holder that i set in rock. There is some uneven area of rock so the post holder is not 100 percent flush. Will this work to solidfy it more underneath? And can i only mix a small amount?

A: QUIKRETE® Concrete Mix can be modified with QUIKRETE® Concrete Acrylic Fortifier per package instructions. Concrete flaking is generally due to either premature troweling or over-troweling the surface. Proper finishing technique will generally prevent this from recurring.

A: It does have gravel in it. Mortar mix does not. Depends on the project your planning to do, makes a big difference on which bag of Quickcrete you use.
