This frost free extended outside shut off valve works like a dream. Great choice of lengths, 10 or 14 inches! Made a hard job easier be also having threaded end connections!

My frost free outside faucet actually froze and cracked the internal threads last fall because it had remained connected to a hose when the temperature was not supposed to drop your below freezing, but actually did. I was able to purchase this unit, remove the internal mechanisms and reinstall it in my existing external casing without having to install a whole new mechanism through the wall, replumb the faucet etc. Very pleased that I was able to repair the faucet without involving myself in an entirely new installation. Kudos to Canadian Tire!

Identical to original

My house had this model outside valve since I've owned it for 40 years. This is just the second time I've had to replace it. I've replaced washers several times , but eventually the seat erodes and can't be serviced. No issues replacing with the identical model.

A: 91/2ins Yes the thread is 1/2ins NPT It will also take 1/2ins copper pipe inside

Q: what size thread is on the end?? Can you solder 1/2 copper instead of using a threaded adapter??

A: Yes – it can be soldered to copper and the size is ½” iron pipe and ½” nominal sweat.
