Buy only authentic Pit Boss pellets!

Authentic PitBoss pellets are all I use! In a pinch I tried the one made by Traeger, and they pack everything up I suspect due to their moisture content being too high. Steam comes up through the auger which makes the pellets stick together. The loading bin forms a ‘bridge’ or hollow spot that prevents the pellets from smoothly feeding and the fire box runs out of pellets. I’ bought the other brand only because the store was out of Pit Boss pellets. It was the last time I’ll do that, as I’ve never had this problem with Pit Boss pellets!

Really enjoyed the product flavour was really good. The only downside I had was fast burning went through a lot of pellets. Normally on an eight hour cook we only use a quarter of a bag. I only had a quarter left.

Q: Hi can I use competition pellets ( the flavour of the 3 woods combined in the competition blend) instead of wood chips In our new pitboss vertical electric analog 3 that takes wood chips.

A: We recommend to only use wood chips not pellets. Pellets can catch fire too easily and be hazardous
