Product Details

The Pirelli Winter 240 Sottozero Series II Tire provides enhanced traction and handling for passenger cars and CUVs in snowy and icy conditions. The tire’s asymmetrical tread pattern offers improved grip and cuts down on noise. The tire’s temperature dynamic compound rubber formula delivers excellent performance, even in rain or sow. With its combination of snow traction, all-season handling, and braking improvements, this tire is designed for both safety and driving enjoyment through the winter months.

  • An ultra high performance winter tire that is a leader in high speed applications

  • Asymmetrical tread pattern with internal and external area improves overall performance because of inclined grooves to increase lateral grip and reduce noise for snow traction and comfort

  • Patented I.B.S technology for sipe construction which increased contact area even on irregular roads, which helps with braking performance

  • New Temperature Dynamic Compound (TDC) is excellent for handling and grip in dry and wet conditions, which results in safety and enjoyment when driving in autumn and winter

  • Wheels sold separately

  • Stiff shoulder blocks improve handling

    No grip at all

Had Pirelli Sottozero flat run tires on my BMW320. Worst winter tires I ever had. No grip at all. Hitting the brakes even at walking speed causes the car to skate for another meter. Never felt more unsafe on the road than with Sottozeros on my car.

    Beware of out-of-round tires

Out Of Round tire caused huge shake at hiway speed. Waiting for replacements and hope they are true. Been a month now since first installed. Check rears too as wobble can loosen parts on car. You may not notice until time to rotate tires.

No, I do not recommend this product.

    Slippery, noisy, wear like butter

Pirelli Sottozero winter tires are the worst tires I have ever had on a car and this is a REAL review with 3 Quebec winters on a 2011 A4 Quattro. I am glad to get rid of them. Very close tread pattern prone to spin with ROUND EDGES prone to understeer in any depth of snow. You will be taking any corner at walking speed in snow. Noisy and wear out like butter (saw the tread bars in less than 20K). Ice grip is no better than our all season summer tires (I tried both on the same day). Our 2003 A4 Quattro had Pirelli Winter Carving tires and they stuck like staples. My FWD passat with department store Goodyear Nordic tires grip, steer, stop, and track better than these at 1/4 the price. You should not even sell them let alone recommend them.

No, I do not recommend this product.
