Great head unit

Installation wasn’t too bad, but you have to make sure you wire the speakers the correct polarity. Its internal amp is a bit bigger than some older cars so if you’re planning on running the same speakers I wouldn’t turn it up all the way. The touch screen is responsive and doesn’t lag. Overall great unit for the price.

Dmh 240ex headunit

For a lower end headunit it makes a great replacement of the factory headunit. Fairly loud and easy to navigate. Bluetooth seems to be ok. Features are minimal if your looking to navigate your phone through it. All in all good product for its price

Q: What back up camera does this work with?

A: It has an rca cable input for the back up camera. It will work with aftermarket camera that have rca cable outputs. I spliced an rca cable into my factory GM camera wiring and it works good. It also needs a signal from the vehicles reverse lights that will trigger the screen to change to the camera output signal from radio/ipod screen.

A: The DMH-240EX does not have any wifi transceiver. It does have the built-in Bluetooth to connect to your smartphone for hands-free and wireless audio connection to stream music from your compatible Bluetooth wireless devices. 2- If an amplifier is required? No amplifier required, but the unit is compatible with it. The DMH-240EX has a built-in amplifier of 4x 50 watts max. power and also has RCA outputs required to connect an external amplifier if you need more power such as for a subwoofer. 3- What will be our suggested speakers and subwoofer? Canadian Tire has a wide assortment of Pioneer speakers and subwoofer solutions. Please check with the Automotive parts department to find out the perfect fit.
