Threading on the shower arm is wrong

The threading on the shower arm is definitely IPS and not NPT. I tried two different standard NPT drop ears and neither would seal, regardless of how much plumbers tape I used.. When I used a MOEN shower arm, it sealed perfectly on the first try. When looking at the thread on the arm, it has no tapering whatsoever. Returned the unit after a very frustrating few hours of trying to get it to stop leaking inside my wall.

No, I do not recommend this product.

Shower install only

Handle and back plate are good shower head arm is a bit hard to mount at the correct depth. For a new install much easier, to retro fit to an existing pipe more difficult to get just the right depth. Quality is very good valve works very well and very good pressure.

Overall, the product is quite good. It’s unfortunate that the piece that goes into the faucet is not included. That is a major pain in the butt. It’s a cheap piece and it doesn’t reflect well on the company to not include it. I had to purchase another faucet, just for tat one piece.

A: No, the Posi Temp and Moentrol valves are only available in Moen faucets. Pfister has their own unique valve system.
