A: Hi Rossales, thanks for the questions. Permatex Black RTV Silicone seals, bonds, repairs, mends and secures glass, metal, plastics, fabric, vinyl, weather stripping and vinyl tops. While it can be used to spot seal a windshield, you could also look at Permatex Windshield and Glass Sealant. If you are installing the windshield and need to seal it, then an Urethane based adhesive/sealant is typically used. Please feel free to reach out to us with any further comments or questions. Q: Can this be used to seal the bead of my tubeless golf cart tire to the rim?

A: Hello Blue Bonnet Rob. Thanks for the great question. We do not recommend Permatex Black RTV Silicone Adhesive Sealant for tire repair of any kind. This product is not suited for that application, we would recommend that you use a proper Tire Bead Sealant designed specifically for that purpose. Once your bead is sealed and the tire is holding air, fill the tires of your golf cart with Slime 2 in 1 Tire Sealant, this product will help prevent and repair flats in all off-highway tires and tubes. If you get a puncture, it instantly seals the TREAD area puncture for up to 2 years in tubeless tires up to 1/4" (6 mm) in diameter and up to 1/8” (3 mm) in tubes using patented Fibro-Seal Technology. While it will not seal punctures to the sidewall or bead, it may help to prevent a situation where you may become stranded due to a flat tire with a tread puncture.
