Q: From the directions on the back I would assume this should be cured as in fully hardened within 90 minutes. I've used this to seal a transmission pan gasket and it's been about 3 hours and it's still rather soft to the touch. Did I get a bad tube?
3 years agoA: Hello MapleDave, thanks for your inquiry. Our apologies for the late response, but we wanted to make sure we got you the right answer so we consulted with our Permatex Technical Guru's. The Right Stuff 90 minute is ready for service in 90 minutes, while it may not be completely hardened (cured) at this time, but has the pressure blowout resistance in 90 minutes when the mated surfaces of component assemblies are put back together and the vehicle is put back in service. It will fully cure in the 24 hours after application. The “squeeze out” may be wet to the touch, but rest assured it has the sealing power and blow out resistance to be put into service in 90 minutes.
