Q: I purchased the Paderno Classics 3 qt. pan and it says that it is good for all stove tops. I have a gas stove top and it seems that the black shorter handle gets really hot and start melting. I would like to return it because this becomes a safety issue

A: I've had mine for about a year. It has warped on a glass top range and the surface is scratched despite only using plastic utensils and hand washing.
