Effective, moves a lot of air

I got this fan for my apartment which is on the top floor of an older 3-storey walkup and gets quite warm. Does a great job blowing cooler outside air in, and I can aim it across the floor or up to the ceiling. It's quite loud on the 3rd and 4th speeds but the sound doesn't carry that far.
