This is a great idea that was put into place by the manufacturer. Covering your head while sleeping is my way to go while travelling.

I wouldn't normally consider a product like this but it was really helpful to have. We just returned from a 2 week camping trip in the Oregon desert for the eclipse totality. It got really cold at night a few times. I froze my butt off and slept very poorly one night until I remembered I'd brought this. On trying it the next night I found the cushion blended in well with my pillow to support my neck, which solved another problem I have with my pillow running away from me on the air mattress overnight. But the great thing was being able to pull the large hood over my ears and head to retain my body heat. I slept much better the other 2 cold nights. The other great thing was when the full-on sunshine poured into our tent at 6AM I easily and comfortably covered my eyes and slept until the neighbourhood kids made further sleep impossible with their activities. The material is soft and warm and the stitching is such that it doesn't abrade as you move about with it on. My only complaints would be that it's not machine washable, but with the large hood area and draw-string, my machine would probably twist it up and tear it. Also, small draw-string locks or big, fancy knots would help as I pulled the draw-string out after a few nights. But that's my fault because I saw it start and ignored it. Our daughter used this as a neck cushion and to shield her eyes and sleep during our very long drive home. This would have been valuable to me as a student where I liked to sleep on my 45+ min bus rides on public transit. Aside from shielding my eyes with neck support and staying warm in winter, I could pull the draw-string and sequester myself and not have to engage with someone creepy or over-talkative who elected to sit beside me. It takes little storage space in a large purse or backpack and though I wouldn't normally consider buying something like this I'm glad I now have it.

Just recently travelled to Orlando with my family and my wife is a nervous flyer. I gave her this pillow with attached hoodie and she slept on both flight segments. pillow was comfortable and hoodie eliminated light and surroundings for a peaceful flight for all of us!!!!

The foam is very sturdy and provides the necessary support for your neck. The hood is a nice feature and adds a coziness to the pillow, but you don't have to use it. The fabric is nice and soft and is removable for washing.

Excellent product that I underestimated on first glance once myself and my family actually tried it was wonderful. My wife will not go on a roadtrip without it!
