Q: Where do you spray it if you don’t know where the bugs are coming from (Cockroach’s)

A: Cockroaches like water more than food. Cut off their water source and this is usually around the sink. Seal off any cracks in the caulking with something like GE Silicone caulk. I Googled how to apply caulking and the best thing I learned is to use your finger to smooth out the caulk once applied. It gives a smooth look to the seal. Spray the baseboards along the kitchen floor since you can't seal everything with caulk. Around the countertop or just under it, you can spray some Ortho on a paper towel and then rub the paper towel around the undersides. Doing this alone will likely keep any roaches from crossing it. They may die if they try.

Q: How well does this stuff work at killing cockroaches

A: It works great. That is not an understatement. I tried other natural methods but none worked. My problem was a lot of the caulking around my sink was missing. Also some of the caulking along the wall near the sink had some cracks. Spray Ortho in there and let dry. The Ortho will kill them. Then seal any cracks in the existing caulking by applying new caulk like GE Silicone Caulk. Roaches like water so you have to cut off their water source. I also apply the Ortho spray around the baseboard area in the kitchen. I can't seal up everything opening around the countertop so I spray some on a paper towel and wipe a few times around some openings. This does work as the ingredients in the spray act as a deterrent or kills the roaches. I was pleasantly surprised how well this spray works. I also hold some paper towels above the spray nozzle while spraying. I don't think there is any spray back in aerosol form but just to be sure.

A: I'm not a doctor but I do use this spray often and I have a small dog. Check with your doctor. I do suggest you wear a mask when you spray. Hope this helps

Q: What is the residual time on this product? I want to get rid of the annoying silverfish and would like to know how often will I need to use this product to eliminate them completely.

Q: Product says there will be no stain but I can see all sprayed spots are very noticable (wish I can post pics here) which in fact looks very ugly on my floor with left-over spilled syrup. Can we wipe them smooth to look nicer or it'll affect effectiveness?

A: When using a new product on a surface trying it on a small area first is a good idea but hindsight is 20/20. Any stains should be removed with a good cleaning once the infestation has been controlled or between each application.

Q: How long does it take to get fully dry ? I sprayed last night (in door) and now more than 16 hours which still does not seem to dry soon. When we accidentally walked on the area, it creates footprint all over the flooring with the sprayed solution :(

A: It usually takes about an hour for home defence to dry . Make sure to shake the bottle before use . Spray cracks ,crevices , baseboards , entry ways etc. Do not saturate .
