Q: With the Noma standing fans what do the symbol she mean. In particular the the triangle with the three dots and the circle with a horizontal line through it?
6 years agoA: These buttons represent the Fan Modes. The triangle with the 3 dots represents the Mode Button, the circle with a horizontal line through it represents a Timer Button, the fan button represents the Speed button, and then arrow button represents the OSC Button.

Q: There is a plastic or oily smell coming from the fan. It does not seem to be overheating, not a burning smell. I'm just wondering if this is normal for a new fan or if i should return/exchange.
6 years agoA: The heater is treated with a special heat safe/resistant coating. This odor will sometimes be present when the box is opened. It is like opening a new gadget for the first time. Also, similar to all hearth appliances (woodstoves, etc.), the coating, exposed to heat, will produce this particular odour during the first few hours of operation. This smell will fade away after the break-in period. If you are sensitive to odours, you may want to pre-burn the unit in a garage with the door open until the initial odour fades away.

Q: Okay this is an odd question, I hope I can say it correctly. Where does the fan rotate when it oscillates, is it at the base or is it higher up...it's difficult to tell from the picture
6 years agoA: There is a short post on the bottom connected to the base/stand. It rotates on top of the post. The post is stationary.

Q: I now have a 37" tower fan with remote and a 7 hour timer. the fan did not come with a manual. I will set the fan to low or medium (not using remote) Sometimes it will not come on. Other times turns itself off odd times. Can't find a manual on line. Help

Q: Just bought this fan, is there a reason the base is so wobbly and twists a bit from side to side?
7 years agoA: Please check if all butterfly screws are securely fastened at the bottom of the base. This unit has been tested and the base is built to be secure. It should not be very wobbly.
