Q: Had mine maybe two years and just completely stopped heating up - does it need refilled?
a year agoA: We have 4 of the Noma oil heaters on our boat. 3 are over 4 years old. The keep us warm all through the winter. I would just accept that your heater is faulty. Maybe considering contacting Noma and they have a solution.

Q: We live in a rural area where the electricity from the power company sometimes fails. If this happens will this heater restart automatically when power is restored or does it need to be manually restarted? Some portable heaters you sell do not restart.
3 years agoA: You are correct.I have both types.To test, turn on the heater full blast.Disconnect heater.from the wall for a minute then re-connect.It is the only way to be sure which type you have.

3 years agoA: No. It comes pre filled. And its completely sealed. Plug in and electricity heats it. Found it safe. Do not cover or put anything on top. I believe it could get hot enough to burn They also said not to leave unattended. But I leave mine on in the basement in winter. Also I have a back up one in my room..

Q: When I turn the heater on, it makes a humming sound that gets louder with the medium and high settings. It also hums on the low setting but not as much as the other two. I was told these heaters are silent. Is this normal?
