Q: Change every 3 months? (no pets)

A: For my Trane furnace, they recommend every 90 days (3 months). This is for optimal furnace performance. We have no-pets and rule is no-smoking in the house. I think I could stretch it to 5-6 months. However, I do put in a new one every 3 months. P.S. Your furnace humidifier filter should be changed twice during the winter months.
