Basic LED Bulbs, but...

Did you know LED technology had to be engineered to last about the same as regular incandescent? They'd normally last way longer. They're cheap, they use less power, but they're wasteful because of how often you have to replace them. That's why I'm only giving 3 stars...

Longevity is not a strong suit

I purchased scores of these bulbs when they were on sale summer of 2017. A year later I have already replaced several. They're simply going out and not lighting up again. LED are supposed to be long lasting. Longer lasting that incandescent or fluorescent. But I have some of both of the latter that have lasted much much longer. Some fluorescent are almost 10 years old. Very disappointed. I recommend buying a better brand.

Q: will these work with outdoor Hi/Low autodim fixtures like motion activated porch lights Many standard motion activated porch lights run at 50% brightness most of the time then switch to 100% brightness when motion is sensed. Can this LED bulb handle this?

1 Answer

A: This bulb is tested with dimmers not motion sensors. This light is dimmable and should be able to handle this type of fixture. You might want to test it out to see if it is compatible with the motion sensor, as it may flicker, or not be activated to turn off with the motion sensor.
