Died after four months

I bought this four months ago and it randomly stopped working. The electricity is there because the buttons work. It just randomly died and won’t spin anymore. Not what you expect for that price point.

No, I do not recommend this product.

DC fan

I had the previous version of this fan, it was excellent until recently, except the remote, it was almost useless, then the fan started turning itself off and on repeatedly, hence new fan, new version, the remote is now perfect, it's been redesigned, simplified, it's also 5 or 10 lbs lighter, maybe that's why I have noticeble wobble from the fan blades on lower speeds, once I turn it up past 6 it sort of stops shaking, it's basically a good fan besides the wobble😉

Fans, Fans, Fans!

Both of these fans have worked very well in our home. We do have A/C but needed the fans to move the cooler air around our 50 year old home more efficiently. We were so lucky that both fans were available when we needed them! Had to pay full price but it was worth it!

This fan pushes air, keeps things cool, has a wide oscillation range and is quiet even on highest setting.

Questions

Q: How come my fan keeps shutting off? The timer is not set either. I've checked that. However it randomly shuts down and the power needs to be turned back on.

A: So a CT member says it shuts off after 12 hours as a safety feature but yet they don't tell you that in the description. Most of us want it to run non stop in the warmer weather so the shut off should be an option.

Q: Hi, id love to know: what is the minimum height, lowest possible height? Thank you.

2 Answers

A: I can't say for certain as we use this fan at it's highest height. The pole has 2 components (poles) so it may be possible to use only in your installation if that works making the fan a bit shorter.

1 Answer

Q: I’m having a hard time getting the spinner off for install. Is there a tool you used? And instructions aren’t clear if you are removing the plastic knob of the spinner only or plastic and metal piece

1 Answer

A: The center locking nut is left hand threaded. I hope this is what you're after. It may not be clear in the instructions. So to loosen you turn right, to firm it up you turn left. This is a design choice since the fans spinning would loosen a conventional thread direction.

Q: I bought this fan a few weeks back and noticed that it shuts off after 24 hours and then you have to turn it back on? There isn't a 24 hour timer so why does it just shut off after running for 24 hours?

1 Answer

A: Set the timer to zero and it should keep running

A: I should add, the instructions say to take spinner out of the bag but mine was attached to the motor shaft already
