So far so good

So far so good. Replaced an Outdoor PAR30 Halogen. I feel the BR30 has a better spread since the focus is lighting an area vs “task” base lighting which could require a PAR30. Only installed one so far, so will see how long it lasts.

We have used Philips brand bulbs for just 2 years, as the manufacturer guaranty for 10000hrs Now I try this brand to see if is the life longer than others

Q: Can this be used outdoors.

A: I see no reason why they wouldn't be able to be used outdoors. The globe would be more moisture and temperature change resistant than incandescent. However, as water and electricity are not on friendly terms, the socket the bulb goes into should be shielded from rain and snow, regardless what type of bulb is used..
