I have a floor lamp that has the bulb facing upwards. I had another bulb in it that was just totally under powered for it. I put this one in it and now it is fantastic. Gives off lots of light for our bonus room

Q: How do you dim this led par38?

A: Any dimmer will work if it specifies suitable for CFLs. If it says suitable for LEDs also so much the better, the reason for LEDs not being mentioned on the labelling is that it is a new technology and the dimmer design was established several years ago. Eventually all dimmers will work well with LEDs.

Q: How does the 1000 lumens of this bulb compare to a 3000 lumens rating for a Maxlite CFL? The Maxlite bulbs are currently being used but for efficiency, a property manager of a church would like to switch these -- will there be a big noticeable difference in the quality and amount of light?
