    Pretty good

It's nicely styled, and works well. The only 'complaint' I would have is that everytime you unplug something from it, the whole issue unplugs from the wall. Not sure how that problem would be resolved, but it does what it's supposed to do and is nice and slim lined.

Works just like it says (flashed red when my Aircon kicked in but went back to green. Remember it plugs in to one half of a duplex outlet.

    Questions

    1 - 4 of 4 Questions

Q: Is this the type of unit that needs to be replaced/disposed of after a surge or does it reset and work again?

    3 Answers
    • A: If the surge is a very strong one which damage the protection circuitry then you have to replace the unit as protection has been exhausted. If the surge is a mild one which does not damage the protection circuitry then you don't need to replace the unit as protection is still intact.

Q: Does this surge-protected wall tap has 2 sets of real, 3-prong plugs (1 hot, 1 neutral & 1 ground prong for each set) on the back; or does it only have 1 set of real, 3-prong plugs (1 hot, 1 neutral & 1 ground prong) & 1 set of fake, 1-prong ground plugs?

Q: I bought this unit, and there were no real instructions. If we run a Kitchenaid mixer, the light on the top stays green even at top speed. But the microwave, even if it is the only thing plugged in, flashes red in use. Is this normal?

A: Thank you for your question. Indicator LED in flashing red means power load is close to overload. Remove some connections to avoid overload. When your microwave oven in use and Indicator LED is in flashing read. Power requirement of the unit is close to the wall receptacle power output limit. We suggest you to plug your microwave oven to another wall receptacle with a higher output say 20A.

Q: If the bar fails during usage, does this mean it's done for? The light isn't coming on when I plug it in, and it doesn't seem to be providing any power.

A: Thank you for your question. If the surge protection indicator light is not glowing, the surge protection has been exhausted and the unit will not function. After 1 major or multiple minor power surges, surge protection function inside the unit is consumed. Unit will not allow power to go through to protect the connecting device.
