It works okay, but don't take it apart, the way the LEDs on the inside are designed terribly and makes it a process trying to put the LEDs through the two holes while also making sure the cover is lined up. There must have been a better way to design this and make it easier to take apart and put back together.

A: Both red and green light are on, it means the surge protection is normal. The red light is on, it means the protection between L and N normal. And the green light means the protection between L, N – G normal.

A: The plastic plug is there for stability, so yes. Plus the unit is large and covers both the top and bottom of the plug making the lower part inaccessible.

Q: I have an older model of this product but do not have any written information about the Green and Red lights on the front of it. When I plug it in the red light lights up but I don't know what this means. The green. says Ground and the Red says Surge but

A: Could be too high of a load if all connections were drawing power at the same time. Something may have blown out. Check the breaker box too.

Q: For the USB, what is the maximum V allowed? I have a USB battery charger that requires a minimum of 5V and Maximum of 5.5V if using a wall charger.
