looks good but

based on all the positive reviews when I had trouble with the first one, I returned it for a second one thinking maybe it was just a one off. nope same problem with both humidifiers. it starts...it runs for 30 seconds then turns off for a couple of minutes...turns on again runs for 20 seconds then turns off. I have to put it to 60% humidity to get the room to 45%. I don't know where or how all these other reviews praise it's performance but I can't seem to get the same out of it. I changed the positioning...I've put it in center of room. nothing seems to work. no more than 20 seconds of run time. the easy fill top is great. I used distilled water but works with tap as well. I wouldn't say it's noisy at all but it's not as whisper quiet as say an ultrasonic model. you will hear the fan spinning but it's not noisy like 1 review said. I'm glad it works for some but hasn't worked for me.

Sleek Humidifier

This humidifier has a sleek design and is very easy to use straight out of the box. You can fill the reservoir with water from the top, which is very convenient, but we noticed that limescale builds up very easily on the filter inside. We weren't aware that it's better to use distilled water, as it doesn't say that anywhere. The filter is also quite pricy at $39 so having to replace it often isn't a great feature.

Evaporative humidifier quiet and easy to fill

The NOMA 4 L top-fill model up (on sale only for $89.99 ) is excellent. Finally a humidifier that doesnt leave white dust everywhere (big win with our hard water).
The top-fill tank is a game-changerno need to open the lid to pour, no spilling or flipping upside down.
Runs very quietly on low and medium; high is audible but still fine for daytime. A full tank easily lasts 2430 hours on medium in my 450 sq ft living room.
Touch controls are simple, it shuts off automatically when empty, and the filter is easy to swap (replacements are cheap at Canadian Tire).
Highly recommend if youre tired of ultrasonic models and want something low-maintenance that actually works through Canadian winters!

No more nosebleeds

We suffer from the winter air . Nose bleeds, dry skin, static shocks, you name it. All winter long. Im super busy so the 4L capacity is a bonus so I dont have to refill constantly. Def a winter must have.
