Unacceptable 12 hr max run time

I don't get it - this fan will only run for 12hrs max before the auto shut-off kicks in.
I read the instructions, tried different modes and timer settings (the timer is for auto start if fan is off, OR auto shut-off if the fan is running, for up to 12hrs). I also searched the comments and the web but can't figure out how to disable auto off.
Not very handy if you need the thing to run a long time (ex. to dry walls after a flood).
The cherry on the sundae is that when the unit auto shuts off, it recenters the vertical, horizontal and fan speed settings.
12hrs later, you restart the fan and fiddle with the all those settings again.
Apart from that, the fan can be silent on the lowest speed or move a good amout of air on a louder setting.
It's getting 1 star because of this totally ridiculous 12hr run time limit.
No, I do not recommend this product.

I bought this fan based on other reviews and I am happy I did. It is versatile and very quiet. The remote is a huge bonus and the various settings make this fan a must for large areas.

Q: This fan seems to have just 3 speeds, not 9. The remote cycles the fan through 1, 2, and 3 speeds, not 1 - 9. Is this a defective fan?

A: Your fan is not defective. There are 3 fan modes, with 3 speed levels for each fan mode. 3 x 3 = 9. The description makes it sound like there are 9 speed levels for each fan mode, but this is not the case. This information is on page 8 of the user manual. Hope this answer helps you.

Q: Our fan has three cycles, but the 3 speeds in each cycle do not change speeds. Our fan is technically only able to go at 3 different speeds overall. Is this defective?
