Don't buy for a long life. It doesn't have one

This dehumidifier though 7 years old..wasn't used that much. Some years not at all..but it now has an E9 error code
Which I know prob means a sensor..which is not easily fixed other than with an hvac guy..
I can't recommend it because it should have had a longer life than it did..
No, I do not recommend this product.

I bought one of these units 7 years ago and still use it semi-regularly in my basement. It’s been perfectly adequate. I am considering buying a second one but it sounds like the quality has gone down in recent years so I am hesitant.

Noma! Pas une marque qu'on rachètera! Elle n'a même pas fait 1an! Croyant qu'elle fasse au moins 3 ans et plus, pas gardé la facture ! Plusieurs magasins retrouvent nos factures avec notre numéro de carte de crédit , euh même la comptabilité ne peut pas le faire, ou ne veule pas le faire ! En tout cas, plusieurs fi fois dessus, on va changer de quincaillerie ! C'est clair!

I've had this unit for a year or 2 and it worked fine in my basement. I only run it in the summer and turned it on this week to get what I now find is the infamous E9 error. Very difficult to find anything on this error mesaage other the reviews which say it is toast. I will not be buying Noma products ever again.

Purchased a pair of these and they worked very well for two years. Yesterday got both ready to use and BOTH are displays e9 errors which I understand means they are now ewaste. This is disappointing not only for my wallet but our environment.

Q: I bought 2 units last week from Canadian Tire in Waterloo. I set them in 2 different rooms (identical size), and set them to Auto. One unit is stuck on 40% reading, and dose not come on, the other is stuck on 56%, and dose not shut off.

A: Even identical size rooms, the humidity level may be different for example if one open the window or face to the sunlight etc. In Auto mode, the setting humidity level is 50%. The one shows the ambient humidity level is 40% under the setting 50%, so it doesn't come on. The other one is 56% don't reach to 50% so it will keep running.

A: This product does not come with a drainage hose. If you plan to run your dehumidifier continuously, you can choose direct draining by attaching a garden hose to the unit.
