Q: I don’t understand what the letters and the three categories mean with respect to the clamping voltage a ove or below. Please explain fully. Many many thanks
2 years agoA: I think the 3420 joules rating is how much of a surge it can correct before it trips. The device should maintain 120v in the event of a surge that doesn't exceed 3420 joules.

Q: Does this unit have a light to indicate the surge protection is working?
a year agoA: Thank you for your question. Yes, this unit has a blue light at the side of the unit to indicate surge protection is working. On the other hand, it also has another blue light at the other side of the unit to indicate wall socket is connected to the ground for a safety usage. Q: Most power bars have a switch to turn off all outlets on it. I’m looking for one with two switches so you can turn off half the bar but keep the other half on. Can this do that?
6 years agoA: Unfortunately, this power bar does not have that capability. I can recommend the Geeni Smart Power Bar which connects through your WIFI and each outlet can be operated independently through the Geeni App on your smart phone or through app/voice control with Google Assistant or Amazon Alexa. You can also set times or routines for each outlet. Product # 052-9703. Or the Merkury 8 outlet Smart Power Bar. When you turn off something plugged into the master switch 5 of the supporting outlets also turn off. Two other outlets always remain on for unrelated devices. Product # 399-2017.
