AGM did not last 4 years

Bought in 2018 for a Seadoo GTX. I noticed even after the first winter (battery was removed for the off season, put downstairs, trickle charged on the first of each month), that the starting power was reduced. I thought my wear ring was trash, it wasn’t. Each subsequent spring, it lost more and more turn over power. After 4 years, a tester showed 3% SOH (state of health) and to replace it. I am not convinced that AGM is worth it

No, I do not recommend this product.

Very week only after a year

Battery was new last year on my motorcycle and this year, although it still holds a charge, it is weak. At a rest stop during a ride, I accidentally left the key on for about 10 minutes. When I went to start it again it didn't have enough juice to turn over. The battery was on a NOCO charger all winter so I have no idea why it could be so weak already.

No, I do not recommend this product.

    Waste of money

Bought it for my atv. Few months after the warranty it went bad. Can't start the atv even after the battery charger said it was charged.

    Questions

    1 - 1 of 1 Question

Q: Will this work with solar panel and controller for lighting and fan in a gazebo?

    1 Answer
    • A: No it will not. This battery is engineered for 'starting' a small engine and would quickly be damaged in a 'cycling' application such as you describe. Not to mention, it is much too under-capacity to run your described loads. Consider a battery from our SLA (Sealed Lead Acid) or Deep Cycle assortments. In order to choose a battery with sufficient capacity (amp hours) to meet your needs however, you'll need to determine (a) how much power do your loads (lighting, fan) draw and (b) how much runtime do you require between your solar panel fully recharging the battery. Once you know these values, you can find several "online calculators" that can help you determine an adequate battery capacity.
