    Handy Inverter

I've purchased 3 of these inverters (1USB + 2 Non-USB) over the past few years. Every one of them still work flawlessly. These are durable little inverters that work great for powering small devices such as a netbook, tablet or cell phone.

    Yes, I recommend this product.

    Great road-trip accessory

We purchased one of these (pre-USB charging slot) and it has been in steady use in our car for many road-trips. It comes with an extra fuse but ours has never blown. It has charged everything electronic we own and we run our laptop from it for hours on end while on our 10+hr family visit trips. It does get hot, so every few hours we unplug it and give it a break. Whether regular price or on sale, this is very handy to have in your car.

    Yes, I recommend this product.

Q: eliminator 75 I was wondering how long it takes to charge a cell phone using the usb? The phone was charging as the bar was flashing, but it seemed very slow.

    1 Answer
    • A: The USB output for 11-1903 75W Inverter is 5V 500mA. The charging time depends on your phone, if its charging specification is 5V 500mA, it will be fully charged as the phone manual indicated time . However, the time will be double or more if your phone is 5V 1000mA for charging.

Q: Can this be used with a hair straightener? Specifically, I have a Conair hair straightener (shown on this site, item 43-8373-2). Could I use this device to style my hair in the car? (Parked, not while driving)

    1 Answer
    • A: No, this product does not have the technical specs to power a hair straightener. This product is designed for items such as cell phones, digital cameras and other similar items. On top of this, having a heating device in your car can be dangerous as provincial or federal driving regulations may prohibit activities that distract from the safe operation of a vehicle.

Q: Can I run my laptop via the 3 prong plug? My AC/DC adapter says input 100-240V~1.6A Dell Inspiron

    1 Answer
    • A: The important information we need is the output figures on your adapter. Multiply the DC voltage by the Amp figure and this will give the power in Watts. The power in Watts may also be printed on your adapter as well. You can use this number to determine if this inverter will provide enough power. The most common adapter is around 90 Watts. The 75 Watt inverter can provide continuous power to your laptop if it uses 60 watts or less. If your laptop uses 90 Watts a more appropriate inverter would be the 150 Watt model.
