Junk

Barely holds on to the plugs you stick in it, they fall out on me all the time. I have to tape plugs to the inverter so they stay plugged in. Other than that it works fine.

Wattage restricted by attachments

I bought this specifically because it was a higher wattage and had a 12 V plug-in adapter. However, When using this adapter, the wattage is limited. I ended up returning as I can get a much cheaper one with the same limitations.

Questions

Q: Will this product work for my C pap machine

3 Answers
  • A: Almost certainly it will work, but the inverter is limited to a direct to car battery connection for the full 500 watts. The cigarette lighter plug will only allow for about 200 watts for safety reasons. If your cpap machine is very sensitive to input power a more expensive true sine type inverter would be recommended but I haven't had any issue running electronics on my motomaster inverter while camping.

Q: Can I use this inverter to run a charger for my electric chainsaw batteries when i am in the bush from a truck battery ?

3 Answers
  • A: Check the input power requirements for your charger, if it doesn't exceed 4A at 120VAC you're golden.

Q: Are you able to hook up solar panels to this unit as a source of power? Example is could i use a 100w 12v solar panel, that has a charge controller, then connect it to this unit instead of a 12v battery?

2 Answers
  • A: You’ll most likely need a battery, even if it’s a small agm deep cycle, just as a buffer as most solar controllers require a battery voltage to run. Also, get a different inverter, these ones suck.

Q: I bought this the other day the 500w. When you use the clamps or hard wire it to a battery its in 500w mode.. is there a internal fuse inside the unit? If you use the 12v plug in its good for 100watts and has its own fuse in the end

1 Answer
  • A: Yes, there are 35A*2pcs internal fuses inside the unit, and a 8A fuse inside the 12V plug.

Q: I accidentally crossed the polarity between the inverter and the battery and now it doesn't work. Is there a fuse I can replace on the inverter or is it just toast?

1 Answer
  • A: The problem has been solved. Inside the unit there are two 35 amp fuses that had blown so I replaced them and all is good again. The only problem is that 35 amp fuses are really hard to find.
